Today for iDrive my street me, Georgia, Holly and  Freya made a doll out of play doh. First  I made the legs and the arms Georgia made the head, Holly made the dress and Freya decorated it. For the Learning Powers at school we showed collaboration and  creativity.  I found it really hard  because if we got something wrong we had to fix it up  again and again. At one stage we got told we had 5 minutes till we had to pack up. Holly  tried to take a photo  but couldn't  so  we had to ask Miss Heaven to take a photo for us.  
                                                                       

                                                                           

I Drive my street

Today  for I Drive we finished Kevin's  house.  It took a lot of work but it was hard to get all the tennis ball 's .We had to make cars for them so they can get around. We also made the grain's house which is Kevin's mother and his father's house Bob.   It took about three to four weeks  to make. we had  to bring in  quite  a lot of box  and  paper to make it.

things you  will need

• lino
• draft paper
• rollers
• pencil
• A4 paper
• newspaper
• devise
• Art pencil
• lino cutter

Steps

1. Grab your device and find something that gets you.
2. Grab an  old piece of paper  and do your draft pitcher.
3. Now you can get your A4 piece of paper.
4. Grab your  lino and  Art pencil and scribble on the back make sure it does not move.
5. Now you can take the piece of paper off.
6. Now grab your  art pencil  and draw over the lines .
7. Now you can start cutting out where you want to.
8. Now you can set out the newspaper, ink and roller. Pick a colour and roll it until it's takiy.
9. Gra  a piece of paper and carefully put the piece of paper on top hang it up to dry
10. Get your lino cut put it under water and let it dry
11. After that you can cut some stuff out then do another coat on top but it has to be  dry  Once they are  done it will look like this.

iDrive My Street

Today for iDrive  I was in the box modelling. I  made a house for Kevin and Ruby. We hope Kevin and Ruby enjoy the new and improved house! If you were wondering who Kevin and Ruby are tennis balls. After we have finished putting on all the detail Kevin and Ruby will live in it for the rest of their life.

Movies

On Thursday the first week of the holidays I went  to Brooke's house we were at her house for about an hour  then we got ready to go to Manako.  On the way to manako  Brooke and I were talking and sing. Once we got there we went for lunch after that  we went to get  the tickets brooke and I made Rachel get the tickets well we went to the arcade. First we tried the basketball machine  we had no luck then we tried the big toy machine  we just about  100 hundred  times but then Rachel  said  that we had put in a lot of  money. Then one of the guys that worked there  come and opened the machine  and put it so it was easier to get. But  Brooke or I could not get it..  But Josh  did  we were so mad. After  we watched jurassic  world Rachel got as some more food for the next movie. The next movie was  minions  Brooke and tried to get a teddy  I tried one of the small ones and got a teddy then brooke had a go  on the minion one and got two in one go.  Then we had to go watch the movie so  off we went with the teddies after we watched the movie it was time to go back to brooke's house.

The ANZACs  arrived in  Belgium at 3:10 a.m on the seventh of June 1917. There was an explosion of huge mines that had been placed under the German lines by hard working turners. Many Germans were killed.

Everything went to plan and by 7:00 a.m. New Zealanders suffer 3700 injures including 700 killed.

My Dad

For the past few weeks we have been writing about someone we really know I did my dad.

When I get home from school and walk into the lounge I see dad in his 4Site Builders dirty work clothes sitting in his favourite spot...on the couch!  He has a beer in one hand, (Export 33), the ipad in the other hand and the T.V. blaring watching movies and playing clash of clans. My dad is happy as.  He takes a sip of his Export 33.

For a living my dad is a builder, which means that he is very helpful around the house. This is good because we need a handyman to fix things up around the house.  Normally after work he comes home and steals the  remote.  So we have to  watch his  program which is Gold Rush or any rugby. Normally On Tuesday and Thursday dad has rugby training which  is good because we get to watch whatever we want. When Karly and I have a friend over we have to book in a time to watch T.V so when we book our T.V time dad will go to his room and watch what he wants to.     

My Dad is approximately 5 foot 7 inches and of short and solid build. He has blue eyes, tanned skin and chocolate coloured  hair. Normally dad wears a hat or when we go out for dinner he has his hair spiked like a hedgehog!

Dad used to play rugby but he had to stop because he hurt his knee when he was younger. Last year he hurt his knee with the handle of the axe! In dads spare time he comes and watches T.V or goes for a bike ride, on his spin bike in the lounge and turns the T.V on or the music or goes for a walk on the treadmill. Most of the time he goes on his spin bike. He got it after he hurt his knee.

Character Description

These past two weeks we have been Doing writing a character description about someone we know well.  I am doing my dad because he is really fun, exciting and nice and he is a handyman around the house. You can read some of my first Draft, hope you like it.

WW1

The century since world war one

This week Whetu have been learning about  ANZAC Day.We learnt quite a lot  the past few days like what ANZAC means.  It stands for the Australia New Zealand Army Corps. This year is the 100th year since the ANZACs landed on Gallipoli Peninsula which  mean’s that  it is a big day for a lot of the  people. We  have even learnt about what countries went to fight in World War 1. c .More than  4400 ANZACs died in Gallipoli. I feel sorry for the people who  died in the war.

Gardening

     

     

On Friday's we have been doing anything we want in the end block it’s called passion Friday. There are heaps of different group's one is a gardening and that’s the  group I am in. This is really fun because we get to plant heaps of different things and weed the garden. So far we have been planting spring onions, radishes, silverbeet, beetroot, butter beans and chives. I like the gardening group because we are all alike. We have a big tree for when it is hot and we need a break. We are wanting to plant more thing’s but we have to think really hard about what we are planting next.

For the last term we have been reading a book about the  naming of Tishkin  Silk. It is about a young boy who was born on the 29th  of February. He is the  smartest boy in his grade. So he gets put up a year. Griffin has three sister's. His mum and dad had left him when he was young he has never seen him since.

narrative writing

For writing this week we have been writing a narrative. We have  been writing  it in a pair.  Or story is about  a spooky  House on Maple Street.  This is  paragraph one.

One Friday on the 30th of October Mr and Mrs Smith moved into the 13th house on Maple Street in Froze Valley. They were both unaware there was a curse on the house and each Halloween night at 12 o'clock, whoever lived in that house turned into green goblin's. The whole town were terrified of that house!

Art

Today we worked on our art.  For art there is pipes, flower's and skyline's. I'm in the skyline group.  I have just finished my background and skyline now it need's to be glued. It is really cool.
